सत्यवादी शमपरस्तपस्वी दग्धकिल्बिष: । समुत्पन्न: स तु महान् सह पित्रा ततो गतः,“वे सत्यवादी, शान्त, तपस्वी और पापशान्य हैं। वे उत्पन्न होते ही बड़े होकर उस द्वीपसे अपने पिताके साथ चले गये थे
satyavādī śamaparaḥ tapasvī dagdhakilbiṣaḥ | samutpannaḥ sa tu mahān saha pitrā tato gataḥ ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—అతడు సత్యవాది, శమనిష్ఠుడు, తపస్వి; అతని పాపములు దగ్ధమయ్యెను. జన్మించిన వెంటనే అతడు త్వరగా మహత్తును పొందెను; ఆపై తండ్రితో కలిసి ఆ స్థలమును విడిచి వెళ్లెను.
