नीलो बादरिकश्चैव सर्वे चैते पराशराः पराशराणामष्टौ ते पक्षाः प्रोक्ता महात्मनाम्

nīlo bādarikaścaiva sarve caite parāśarāḥ parāśarāṇāmaṣṭau te pakṣāḥ proktā mahātmanām

నీలుడు, బాదరికుడు—ఇవన్నీ ‘పరాశరులు’ అని పిలువబడతారు. ఈ విధంగా మహాత్మ పరాశరుల ఎనిమిది శాఖలు (పక్షాలు) ప్రకటించబడ్డాయి।
