इति श्रीलिङ्गमहापुराणे सूर्याद्यभिषेककथनं नामाष्टपञ्चाशत्तमो ऽध्यायः सूत उवाच एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु मुनयः पुनस्तं संशयान्विताः पप्रच्छुरुत्तरं भूयस् तदा ते रोमहर्षणम्

iti śrīliṅgamahāpurāṇe sūryādyabhiṣekakathanaṃ nāmāṣṭapañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ sūta uvāca etacchrutvā tu munayaḥ punastaṃ saṃśayānvitāḥ papracchuruttaraṃ bhūyas tadā te romaharṣaṇam

ఇట్లు శ్రీలింగమహాపురాణంలో “సూర్యాద్యభిషేకకథనం” అనే యాభై తొమ్మిదవ అధ్యాయం (ప్రారంభమగును). సూతుడు పలికెను—ఇది విని మునులు ఇంకా సందేహములతో, ఆ రోమహర్షణుని (సూతుని) మరల విస్తృతమైన ఉత్తరమును అడిగిరి।
