युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

अन्यथा जीवितं तासां नास्ति त्रेतायुगात्यये हस्तोद्भवा ह्यपश्चैव भवन्ति बहुशस्तदा
Transliteration
anyathā jīvitaṃ tāsāṃ nāsti tretāyugātyaye hastodbhavā hyapaścaiva bhavanti bahuśastadā
Translation
లేకపోతే త్రేతాయుగాంతంలో వారికి జీవనం నిలవదు. ఆ సమయంలో మళ్లీ మళ్లీ అనేక ‘హస్తోద్భవ’ జీవులు పుడతారు; అలాగే ‘పశు’—యజ్ఞక్రమానికి యోగ్యులు—కాని వారు కూడా ఉద్భవిస్తారు।
