युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

प्रादुरासंस्तदा तासां वृक्षास्ते गृहसंज्ञिताः सर्ववृत्त्युपभोगस्तु तासां तेभ्यः प्रजायते

Transliteration

prādurāsaṃstadā tāsāṃ vṛkṣāste gṛhasaṃjñitāḥ sarvavṛttyupabhogastu tāsāṃ tebhyaḥ prajāyate

Translation

అప్పుడు వారి కోసం ‘గృహాలు’ అని పిలువబడే ఆ వృక్షాలు ప్రదర్శితమయ్యాయి. వాటి నుంచే ఆ జీవులకు జీవనోపాధికి సంబంధించిన సమస్త భోగాలు—ఆహారం, వినియోగం—ఉద్భవించాయి.
