agnaukaraṇamucchiṣṭaṃ śrāddhaṃ vai vaiśvadaivikam / vikiraṃ ca svadhākāraṃ pitṛśabdaṃ na coccaret

Translation

అగ్నికర్మతో సంబంధమైన వైశ్వదేవ అర్పణం శ్రాద్ధానికి ‘ఉచ్ఛిష్టం’గా భావించబడుతుంది; కాబట్టి వికిరంలోను ‘స్వధా’ ఉచ్చారణలోను ‘పితృ’ శబ్దాన్ని పలకకూడదు।
