Indra’s Brahma-hatyā, Flight from Sin, and Purification by Aśvamedha
श्रीशुक उवाच ऋषयस्तदुपाकर्ण्य महेन्द्रमिदमब्रुवन् । याजयिष्याम भद्रं ते हयमेधेन मा स्म भै: ॥ ६ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca ṛṣayas tad upākarṇya mahendram idam abruvan yājayiṣyāma bhadraṁ te hayamedhena mā sma bhaiḥ
శ్రీశుకుడు పలికెను—ఇది విని ఋషులు మహేంద్రునితో అన్నారు: “నీకు మంగళం కలుగుగాక. భయపడకు. మేము నీకోసం అశ్వమేధ యాగం నిర్వహిస్తాము; బ్రాహ్మణవధజన్య పాపం నుండి నిన్ను విముక్తి చేస్తుంది.”
