भ्रातरोऽभाङ्क्त किं मह्यं भजाम पितरं तव । त्वां ममार्यास्तताभाङ्क्षुर्मा पुत्रक तदादृथा: ॥ २ ॥
bhrātaro ’bhāṅkta kiṁ mahyaṁ bhajāma pitaraṁ tava tvāṁ mamāryās tatābhāṅkṣur mā putraka tad ādṛthāḥ
నాభాగుడు అడిగెను—“సోదరులారా, తండ్రి ఆస్తిలో నాకు ఏ వాటా ఇచ్చారు?” పెద్ద సోదరులు అన్నారు—“నీ వాటా తండ్రే.” అప్పుడు నాభాగుడు తండ్రి వద్దకు వెళ్లి, “తండ్రీ, పెద్దవారు మిమ్మల్నే నా వాటాగా ఇచ్చారు” అన్నాడు. తండ్రి చెప్పెను—“బిడ్డా, వారి మోసపూరిత మాటలపై ఆధారపడకు; నేను నీ ఆస్తి కాను.”
