ततस्तमन्तर्हृदि सन्निवेश्य गतो महाभागवतो विशालाम् । यथोपदिष्टां जगदेकबन्धुना तप: समास्थाय हरेरगाद् गतिम् ॥ ४७ ॥

అనంతరం మహాభాగవతుడైన उद्धవుడు ప్రభువును హృదయంలో లోతుగా నిలిపుకొని బదరికాశ్రమానికి వెళ్లెను. జగత్తుకు ఏకైక బంధువైన శ్రీకృష్ణుడు ఉపదేశించిన విధంగా అక్కడ తపస్సులో స్థితుడై, హరియొక్క పరమగతి—ప్రభువు స్వధామాన్ని—ప్రాప్తి చేసెను.
