मर्त्यो यदा त्यक्तसमस्तकर्मा निवेदितात्मा विचिकीर्षितो मे । तदामृतत्त्वं प्रतिपद्यमानो मयात्मभूयाय च कल्पते वै ॥ ३४ ॥

మనిషి సమస్త కర్మఫలాలను త్యజించి తనను పూర్తిగా నాకర్పించి, నా సేవ చేయాలని ఉత్సుకతతో కోరినప్పుడు, అతడు జన్మమరణ బంధనాల నుండి విముక్తి పొంది నా ఐశ్వర్యంలో భాగస్వామి అవుతాడు।

This verse says immortality is attained when one abandons independent, self-serving action and fully offers oneself to Krishna, acting only to fulfill His desire.

Because pure devotion requires surrender of personal agenda; when actions are no longer performed for separate ends and are offered to Krishna alone, the devotee becomes eligible for liberation and divine likeness.
