taṁ nāradaḥ priyatamo rikthādānām anuvrataḥ śuśrūṣamāṇaḥ śīlena praśrayeṇa damena ca

Translation

బ్రహ్మకు అత్యంత ప్రియమైన వారసపుత్రుడు నారదుడు, తండ్రి సేవలో నిత్యం సిద్ధుడై, శీలం, వినయం, ఇంద్రియనిగ్రహం ద్వారా తండ్రి ఆజ్ఞలను కఠినంగా అనుసరిస్తాడు।
