Arjuna Marries Subhadrā; Kṛṣṇa Honors Two Devotees in Mithilā (Śrutadeva and Bahulāśva)
svānugrahāya samprāptaṁ manvānau taṁ jagad-gurum maithilaḥ śrutadevaś ca pādayoḥ petatuḥ prabhoḥ
This verse shows that devotees recognize Kṛṣṇa’s arrival itself as His mercy and respond with surrender—falling at His feet in humility and devotion.
They understood Kṛṣṇa to be jagad-guru, the Lord and supreme benefactor, and thus offered the natural etiquette of bhakti—full obeisance at His lotus feet.
Approach saints, scripture, and God with reverence rather than entitlement—cultivating gratitude and surrender as the doorway to spiritual growth.
