श्रीशुक उवाच अपश्यतां चानिरुद्धं तद्बन्धूनां च भारत । चत्वारो वार्षिका मासा व्यतीयुरनुशोचताम् ॥ १ ॥
śṛī-śuka uvāca apaśyatāṁ cāniruddhaṁ tad-bandhūnāṁ ca bhārata catvāro vārṣikā māsā vyatīyur anuśocatām
శ్రీశుకుడు పలికెను—ఓ భారతవంశజా! అనిరుద్ధుని బంధువులు ఆయన తిరిగి రాకపోవడం చూడక, విలపిస్తూ వర్షాకాలపు నాలుగు నెలలు గడిపారు।
