FAQs

It prescribes a therapeutic homa: offering 1,000 ghee oblations while reciting the mantra ‘rājasāmeti’, aimed specifically at alleviating eye disorders (cakṣū-roga).

It shows the text’s practical cataloging of applied knowledge—here, a ritual-healing protocol that bridges mantra-vidhi (ritual procedure) with roga-śānti (disease pacification), reflecting the Agni Purana’s multi-disciplinary scope.

The act of correctly performed ājyāhuti with mantra is presented as both purificatory and remedial, yielding relief from suffering (eye disease) as a dharmic fruit of disciplined ritual action.
