FAQs

It gives a statecraft guideline for royal administration: identify categories of persons likely to become hostile—those wronged, greedy, insulted, anti-royal, violent, or self-conceited—so the king can manage risk and maintain stability.

Alongside ritual and theology, the Agni Purana includes pragmatic Rajadharma: political psychology, governance, and security screening—showing it functions as a multi-domain manual, not only a devotional text.

It supports dharmic kingship: by recognizing resentment and injustice as causes of enmity, a ruler is urged toward fair conduct and respectful governance, reducing adharma-driven conflict and its karmic consequences.
