Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
Type: City
Sandhi Resolution Notes: विशेच्च = विशेत् + च; दानाद्यैः = दान + आद्यैः.
It prescribes ritual etiquette: after arriving in a town, one should honor the concerned persons through gifts/hospitality (dāna-ādi) and then formally dismiss them (visarjana) in a proper, respectful manner.
Beyond theology, it codifies practical conduct—how rites are concluded through satkāra (honor) and visarjana (dismissal), reflecting the Purana’s wide coverage of social-ritual procedure alongside devotion.
Honoring others with dāna and concluding interactions respectfully is treated as dharmic conduct that generates merit (puṇya) and avoids the fault of neglecting or disrespecting those who have been received or ritually engaged.
