ॐ तिस्रः पुरास्त्रिपथा विश्वचर्षणा अत्राकथा अक्षराः सन्निविष्टाः । अधिष्ठायैना अजरा पुराणी महत्तरा महिमा देवतानाम् ॥१॥

IAST Transliteration

oṃ tisraḥ purās tripathā viśvacarṣaṇā atrākathā akṣarāḥ sanniviṣṭāḥ | adhiṣṭhāyainā ajarā purāṇī mahattarā mahimā devatānām ||1||

Translation

ஓம். மூன்று புரங்கள், மும்மார்க்கங்கள்—அனைத்து மக்களையும் தாங்குகின்றன; இங்கே சொல்லரிய, அழியாத ‘அக்ஷர’ தத்துவங்கள் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவற்றின் அதிஷ்டாத்ரியாகிய அஜரமான பழம்பெரும் சக்தியே தேவர்களின் மிகப் பெரிய மகிமை॥௧॥

Academic Translation

Om. Three are the citadels (purās), threefold are the paths, sustaining all peoples; here, the unutterable imperishables are set in place. Presiding over these, the ageless, ancient (power) is the greater glory of the deities.
