ये केचिद्भवितारो वा अतीता ये निशाकराः । तेषां सोमान्वयानां च सर्वेषामाद्यदैवतम्
ye kecidbhavitāro vā atītā ye niśākarāḥ | teṣāṃ somānvayānāṃ ca sarveṣāmādyadaivatam
வரப்போகும் சந்திரர்களாக இருந்தாலும், கடந்துபோன சந்திரர்களாக இருந்தாலும்—சோம வம்சத்தாரான அனைவருக்கும் இவர் (சோமேசுவரன்) ஆதித் தெய்வம் ஆவார்।
