अद्य मे संततिर्नष्टा निराशाः पितरो मम । नापुत्रस्य हि लोकोस्ति लुप्तपिंडादिसंस्कृतेः
adya me saṃtatirnaṣṭā nirāśāḥ pitaro mama | nāputrasya hi lokosti luptapiṃḍādisaṃskṛteḥ
இன்று என் சந்ததி அழிந்தது; என் முன்னோர்கள் நம்பிக்கையிழந்தனர். பிண்டம் அளித்தல் போன்ற சடங்குகள் அற்றுப்போவதால், மகனಿಲ್ಲாதவனுக்கு நற்கதி இல்லை.
