संकल्पं प्रवदेत्तत्र पूजारंभे समाहितः । कृतांजलिपुटो भूत्वा चिंतयेद्धृदि शंकरम्
saṃkalpaṃ pravadettatra pūjāraṃbhe samāhitaḥ | kṛtāṃjalipuṭo bhūtvā ciṃtayeddhṛdi śaṃkaram
பூஜை தொடக்கத்தில் மனம் ஒருமித்து சங்கல்பத்தை உரைக்க வேண்டும். பின்னர் கைகூப்பி இதயத்தில் சங்கரனைத் தியானிக்க வேண்டும்।
