राजोवाच । अहं पूर्वभवे कश्चित्सारमेयो वरानने । पंपानगरमाश्रित्य पर्यटामि समंततः
rājovāca | ahaṃ pūrvabhave kaścitsārameyo varānane | paṃpānagaramāśritya paryaṭāmi samaṃtataḥ
அரசன் கூறினான்—அழகிய முகத்தையுடையவளே! முன்பிறவியில் நான் ஒரு நாயாக இருந்தேன். பம்பா நகரத்தைச் சார்ந்து எல்லாத் திசைகளிலும் அலைந்து திரிந்தேன்.
