हसतां गायतां क्वापि नृत्यतामथ धावताम् । जिघ्रतां पिबतां कामाद्गच्छतां प्रतिगर्जताम्
hasatāṃ gāyatāṃ kvāpi nṛtyatāmatha dhāvatām | jighratāṃ pibatāṃ kāmādgacchatāṃ pratigarjatām
சிலர் சிரித்தனர்; சிலர் எங்கோ பாடினர்; சிலர் நடனமாடி மீண்டும் ஓடினர். சிலர் மணம் நுகர்ந்தனர்; சிலர் விருப்பம்போல் அருந்தினர்; மற்றவர்கள் நடந்து செல்லும் போதே ஒருவருக்கொருவர் முழங்கினர்.
