शिवदूता ऊचुः । ब्रह्मन्सुमहदाश्चर्यं शृणु कौतूहलं यदि । इमामुद्दिश्य चांडालीं यदुक्तं भवताधुना
śivadūtā ūcuḥ | brahmansumahadāścaryaṃ śṛṇu kautūhalaṃ yadi | imāmuddiśya cāṃḍālīṃ yaduktaṃ bhavatādhunā
சிவதூதர்கள் கூறினர்—ஓ பிராமணரே, உமக்கு ஆர்வம் இருந்தால் இந்த மிகப் பெரிய அதிசயத்தை கேளும்; இந்தச் சண்டாளப் பெண்ணை குறித்து நீர் இப்பொழுது சொன்னதைக் குறித்து.
