एता नित्यं नमस्कृत्य त्रिपुंड्रं धारयेत्सुधीः । महेश्वरव्रतमिदं सर्ववेदेषु कीर्तितम्

Transliteration

etā nityaṃ namaskṛtya tripuṃḍraṃ dhārayetsudhīḥ | maheśvaravratamidaṃ sarvavedeṣu kīrtitam

Translation

இப் (புனித அனுஷ்டானங்களை) தினமும் வணங்கி, அறிவுடையவன் திரிபுண்ட்ரத்தை அணிய வேண்டும். இது மகேஸ்வரன் (சிவன்) வ்ரதம்; எல்லா வேதங்களிலும் புகழப்பட்டதாகும்.
