मानस्तोकेति संमृंज्य शिरो लिंपेच्च त्र्यंबकम् । त्रियायुषादिभिर्मंत्रैर्ललाटे च भुजद्वये । स्कंधे च लेपयेद्भस्म सजलं मंत्रभावितम्
mānastoketi saṃmṛṃjya śiro liṃpecca tryaṃbakam | triyāyuṣādibhirmaṃtrairlalāṭe ca bhujadvaye | skaṃdhe ca lepayedbhasma sajalaṃ maṃtrabhāvitam
‘மானஸ்தோகே…’ என ஜபித்து தலையைத் தேய்த்து பூச வேண்டும்; மேலும் ‘த்ர்யம்பகம்…’ மற்றும் ‘த்ரியாயுஷா…’ முதலிய மந்திரங்களால், நீரால் ஈரப்படுத்தப்பட்டு மந்திரபாவம் பெற்ற பஸ்மத்தை நெற்றியில், இரு கைகளிலும், தோள்களிலும் பூச வேண்டும்।
