It teaches that devotion (bhakti) must be expressed through disciplined conduct—especially anna-dāna and reverent service to the Guru’s household—since honoring the Guru supports right knowledge and steadiness in Shiva-bhakti.
In Linga-worship, offerings are not merely substances but acts of surrender. The verse aligns personal worship with social-sacred duty: honoring the Guru and proper ritual order (beginning with Īśāna) preserves the sanctity of Saguna Shiva worship.
Offer sanctified food with devotion (anna-nivedana/anna-dāna) and follow īśānādi-krama (the Īśāna-first ritual sequence) while maintaining reverence toward the Guru and the Guru’s wife as part of daily Shaiva discipline.
