Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a specific Jyotirliṅga; emphasizes that even saṅkalpa (mental resolve) toward mūrti-sthāpana accrues merit leading to Umā’s supreme loka.
Significance: Elevates intention (bhāva/saṅkalpa) as spiritually efficacious; supports temple-building and image-consecration as high puṇya leading to Devī’s realm.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It teaches that even sincere inner resolve (mental saṅkalpa) toward a sacred act—like establishing a divine form for worship—carries great spiritual potency, leading to the exalted realm blessed by Umā’s grace, beyond ordinary merit.
The verse affirms the Shaiva principle that Saguna supports (mūrti/linga) are valid and powerful means for devotion; intending to establish such a support for worship benefits many beings and draws the devotee toward higher states associated with Shiva-Śakti.
It highlights saṅkalpa (pure intention) as a practice: mentally dedicate oneself to installing and serving a Shiva/Umā form for worship, accompanied by bhakti and mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as one’s capacity allows.
