Sagara-vaṃśa-prasavaḥ — The Birth of Sagara’s Sons and the Bhāgīratha Lineage

Tattva Level: pashu
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights orderly growth (yathākramam) under proper care, implying that dharmic nurturing and right environment support the maturation of the soul toward Shiva-bhakti and steadiness of conduct.
Though not explicitly about the Linga, it supports the Shaiva view that devotion to Saguna Shiva is cultivated through samskara (refining impressions) and disciplined upbringing—conditions that later make Linga-worship and vows fruitful.
The verse indirectly suggests nurturing purity and steadiness; a practical takeaway is regular japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a sattvic regimen, as consistent practice ‘grows’ devotion in due order.
