Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: (implied) śiva-sahasranāma
Type: stotra
Offering: dhupa
It teaches that sincere devotion expressed through sacred speech—hymns and the recitation of Śiva’s thousand names—is itself a complete form of worship, rooted in humility (bowed head) and love for Pati, the Lord.
The verse highlights Saguna-upāsanā: approaching Śiva as Deveśa through names, qualities, and praise. Such nāma-stuti commonly accompanies Linga worship as a verbal offering (vāṅmaya-arcana) alongside physical pūjā.
Recite Śiva Sahasranāma or other stotras with a humble, bowed attitude, treating mantra and praise as an offering; this can be integrated with daily japa (including the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and Linga pūjā.
