Kālajñāna (Knowledge of Time) and Mṛtyu-cihna (Signs of Death): Śiva’s Instruction to Umā
धावमानप्रवाहेण दिनमेकं स जीवति । चक्रमे तत्परासोर्हि पुराविद्भिरुदाहृतम्
dhāvamānapravāheṇa dinamekaṃ sa jīvati | cakrame tatparāsorhi purāvidbhirudāhṛtam
வேகமாக ஓடும் ஓட்டத்தில் இழுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டால் அவன் ஒரு நாளே உயிர்வாழ்வான். உயிர் குறுகும் அந்த நிலையையே பழம்பெரும் முனிவர்கள் ‘சக்கரம்’ (சக்ர) எனப் புகழ்ந்து கூறினர்.
