भैरवावतारवर्णनम् (Bhairavāvatāra-varṇanam) — “Description of the Descent/Manifestation of Bhairava”
अथ विष्णुविधी ज्ञात्वा विगर्वौ परमेश्वरः । प्रसन्नोऽभून्महादेवोऽकरोत्तावभयौ प्रभुः
atha viṣṇuvidhī jñātvā vigarvau parameśvaraḥ | prasanno'bhūnmahādevo'karottāvabhayau prabhuḥ
அப்போது பரமேஸ்வரன் மகாதேவன், விஷ்ணு மற்றும் விதாதா (பிரம்மா) அவர்களின் நோக்கத்தை அறிந்து, அவர்கள் அகந்தையற்றவர்களாக இருப்பதைப் பார்த்து மகிழ்ந்தான்; அந்த ஆண்டவன் இருவருக்கும் அபயம் அளித்தான்.
