The Account of Śambhu’s Incarnation that Dispels Doubts Concerning Women
nandīśvara uvāca | iti tasya samutpattiṃ tatpituḥ saṃgare mṛtim | tanmātṛmaraṇaṃ grāhātsarvaṃ tasya nyavedayat
Nandishvara (Nandi)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
It highlights truthful disclosure and the acceptance of painful karma-laden events, preparing the seeker to turn from worldly shock toward Shiva-bhakti, where suffering becomes a doorway to grace and inner steadiness.
By recounting loss and impermanence, the narrative pushes the mind toward refuge in Saguna Shiva (as the compassionate Lord) and toward Linga-worship as a stable support beyond changing worldly conditions.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a calm, truth-facing mind; if observing vrata (e.g., Mahāśivarātri), add vibhūti (Tripuṇḍra) and Rudrāksha as reminders of detachment and Shiva-refuge.
