Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana’s story to the sages)
Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights a soul’s purposeful longing for a higher divine state—here expressed as the desire to reach the husband’s realm—showing how affection, resolve, and dharmic intention become a motive force in spiritual movement.
Though the verse is narrative, the underlying theme aligns with Saguna devotion: heartfelt longing and loving remembrance are central to Shaiva practice, which is commonly expressed through Linga worship as a concrete focus for devotion.
The takeaway is bhakti-driven remembrance: steady japa of the Panchakshara mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with a clear intention for upliftment, supported by simple Shaiva disciplines like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa where appropriate.
