Reception of the Auspicious Marriage Invitation
atha deveśvaraśśambhussāmarastvāṃ mune drutam | laukikācāramāśritya mahālīlākaraḥ prabhuḥ
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It shows that Śiva, though transcendental (Pati beyond worldly limits), willingly assumes ordinary social conduct to guide beings through dharma—turning worldly life itself into a means for grace and liberation.
By highlighting Śiva’s ‘mahā-līlā’, the verse supports Saguna worship: devotees approach the Lord through His accessible forms and actions (including the Liṅga), through which the Nirguṇa reality compassionately becomes knowable.
Follow laukika-ācāra with Shaiva intent: daily purity and dharmic conduct, coupled with steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and respectful worship of Śiva (Liṅga-pūjā) as an offering of one’s ordinary life.
