मुदिते रोहिणीयुक्ते विशुद्धे चन्द्रतारके । मार्गमासे चन्द्रवारे सर्वदोषविवर्जिते

சந்திரன் மகிழ்ந்து ரோஹிணியுடன் சேர்ந்திருக்கும் போது, சந்திர-நட்சத்திரம் தூய்மையுடன் ஒளிரும் போது, மார்கசீர்ஷ மாதத்தில் திங்கட்கிழமை வந்தால்—அந்த காலம் எல்லாத் தோஷங்களும் அற்றது எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது।
