kimicchasi varaṃ devi praṣṭumicchāmyataḥ param | tvayyeva tadasau devi phalaṃ sarvaṃ pradṛśyate
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: creative
The verse affirms a key Shaiva understanding: the “fruit” of any sādhana—worldly or liberating—manifests through Devi as Shiva’s inseparable Shakti, indicating grace (anugraha) as the decisive factor behind all attainments.
Linga-worship honors Shiva as Pati (the Lord), while this verse highlights Shakti as the manifesting power through whom results appear; thus Saguna worship in the Shiva Purana is implicitly Shiva–Shakti worship, where the devotee seeks fruit through divine grace rather than mere effort.
A practical takeaway is to perform japa and pūjā with a grace-centered intention—e.g., Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while inwardly offering the desired “fruit” to Shiva–Shakti—cultivating surrender (śaraṇāgati) rather than fruit-obsession.
