गिरिजातपः-परीक्षा तथा सप्तर्षि-आह्वानम्

कूटोपदेशमाश्राव्य तत्र तान्नारदो मुनिः । तदाज्ञया च ते सर्वे पितुर्न गृहमाययुः
kūṭopadeśamāśrāvya tatra tānnārado muniḥ | tadājñayā ca te sarve piturna gṛhamāyayuḥ
அங்கே முனிவர் நாரதர் அவர்களுக்கு சூழ்ச்சியான உபதேசத்தைச் சொல்லிக் கேட்க வைத்தார். அவரது ஆணையின்படி அவர்கள் அனைவரும் தந்தையின் இல்லத்திற்குத் திரும்பவில்லை.
