Deliberation on the Marriages of Gaṇeśa and Ṣaṇmukha
vedaśāstrapurāṇeṣu bālakasya yathoditam | tvayā kṛtaṃ tu tatsarvaṃ dharmasya paripālanam
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Offering: pushpa
The verse affirms that acting in harmony with Veda–Śāstra–Purāṇa injunctions is itself dharma, and Shiva recognizes such conduct as true preservation of righteous order—an essential Shaiva virtue that supports inner purification and God-realization.
In Shaiva practice, devotion to Saguna Shiva (including Linga worship) is meant to mature into dharmic living; this verse links scriptural authority and right conduct, implying that true worship is validated by dharma upheld under Shiva’s guidance.
The practical takeaway is to align daily conduct with śāstric dharma while sustaining Shiva-bhakti—such as steady japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) alongside disciplined, dharma-based action.
