It highlights a Shaiva virtue: yathārtha-vāk (truthful, fitting speech) grounded in buddhi (discernment). Divine praise from Śiva and Śivā signifies anugraha (grace) toward dharmic conduct, showing that clarity, truth, and right intention are honored on the path of bhakti.
Though the Liṅga is not directly named here, the verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s compassionate, relational aspect—He guides and affirms devotees through approval and grace. In Liṅga worship, this translates into cultivating inner purity so one’s speech and mind align with satya and dharma while offering devotion.
A practical takeaway is satya-sādhana: before japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” resolve to speak truthfully and appropriately (yathārtha). This aligns mantra-japa with ethical discipline, making devotion steadier and more effective.
