पितरावूचतुः । कदा क्रांता त्वया पुत्र पृथिवी सुमहत्तरा । सप्तद्वीपा समुद्रांता महद्भिर्गहनैयुता

The verse points to Saguna expressions of Shiva’s power manifested through his divine family and līlā; Linga-worship trains the mind to recognize that such cosmic capacities arise from Shiva, the supreme source, even when seen through personal forms.
Contemplate Shiva as the inner ruler (Pati) while chanting the Pañcākṣarī—“oṃ namaḥ śivāya”—to cultivate humility and devotion; offer bhasma/Tripuṇḍra and a simple arghya with remembrance of Shiva’s anugraha behind all greatness.
