प्र द्यावा यज्ञैः पृथिवी नमोभिः सबाध ईळे बृहती यजत्रे । ते चिद्धि पूर्वे कवयो गृणन्तः पुरो मही दधिरे देवपुत्रे ॥

Transliteration

prá dyā́vā yajñáiḥ pṛthivī́ námobhiḥ sabā́dha īḷe bṛhatī́ yájatre | té cíd dhi pū́rve kaváyo gṛṇántaḥ puró mahī́ dadhire deváputre ||

Translation

யாகங்களால் த்யாவை, வணக்கங்களால் ப்ருதிவியை—பிரிவின்றி ஒன்றாக—நான் புகழ்ந்து அழைக்கிறேன்; அந்த இரு விரிந்த, யாகத்திற்குரிய தேவியரை. ஏனெனில் பழங்காலக் கவிஞர்-ரிஷிகளும் பாடி, இவ்விருவரையும் முன்னணியில் நிறுவினர்—மகத்தான, தேவர்புத்ரிகளான சக்திகளை.
