Sukta 6.48
यमापो अद्रयो वना गर्भमृतस्य पिप्रति । सहसा यो मथितो जायते नृभिः पृथिव्या अधि सानवि ॥
yám ā́po ádrayo vánā gárbham ṛtásya pípṛti | sáhasā yó mathitó jā́yate nṛ́bhiḥ pṛthivyā́ ádhi sā́navi ||
அவனை ஆபः (நீர்), அத்ரயः (கற்கள்), வநானி (காடுகள்) ‘ருதஸ்ய கர்பம்’ (ருதத்தின் கரு) எனப் போஷிக்கின்றன. அவன் சகஸா (வலத்தால்) மத்திதன் (கடையப்பட்டபோது) ந்ருபிஃ (மனித-சக்திகளால்) பிறக்கிறான்; அவன் ப்ருதிவ்யா அதி ஸானவி (பூமியின் மேட்டின்/முதுகெலும்பு போன்ற உயர்வரம்பின்) மீது தோன்றுகிறான்.
