Sukta 5.42
उदीरय कवितमं कवीनामुनत्तैनमभि मध्वा घृतेन । स नो वसूनि प्रयता हितानि चन्द्राणि देवः सविता सुवाति ॥
udī́raya kavítamaṃ kavīnā́m unáttainam abhí mádhvā ghṛténa | sá no vásūni práyatā hitā́ni candrā́ṇi deváḥ savitā́ suvāti ||
கவிகளுள் மிகச் சிறந்த கவியை எழுப்புங்கள்; அவனைத் தேனாலும் நெய்யாலும் அபிஷேகம் செய்யுங்கள். அப்பொழுது தேவன் சவிதா, எங்களுக்காக முன்பே முயன்று தயார் செய்து நிறுவப்பட்ட வஸுக்கள்—சந்திரன் போல் ஒளிரும், பிரகாசமான செல்வங்களை—பிறப்பிக்கட்டும்.
