Sukta 5.38
यदीमिन्द्र श्रवाय्यमिषं शविष्ठ दधिषे । पप्रथे दीर्घश्रुत्तमं हिरण्यवर्ण दुष्टरम् ॥
yád īm indra śravā́yyam íṣaṃ śaviṣṭha dadhíṣe | papráthe dīrgha-śrút-tamaṃ híraṇya-varṇa dúṣṭaram ||
இந்திரனே, சவிஷ்டா (மிக வலிமைமிக்கவனே), நீ கேட்கத் தகுந்த (ஶ்ரவாய்ய) இஷம் (உந்தும் சக்தி/வலிமை) ஒன்றை நிறுவும் போது, நீ ‘தீர்க்ஷ்ருத்தம’—மிகத் தொலைவும் மிக நீளமான கேள்வியளவும்—பரந்து விரிகிறாய்; ஹிரண்யவர்ணா (தங்க நிறமுடையவனே), பகைவர் வலிமைகளுக்கு துஸ்தரன் (கடக்க இயலாதவன்) ஆகிறாய்.
