Sukta 4.12
महश्चिदग्न एनसो अभीक ऊर्वाद्देवानामुत मर्त्यानाम् । मा ते सखायः सदमिद्रिषाम यच्छा तोकाय तनयाय शं योः ॥
maháś cid agne énaso abhī́ka ūrvā́d devā́nām utá mártyānām | mā́ te sakhā́yaḥ sádham íd riṣāma yácchā tokā́ya tánayāya śáṃ yóḥ ||
அக்னியே! பாவத்தின் மிக நெருக்கத்திலிருந்தும்—தேவரும் மானவரும் நடமாடும் அந்த விரிந்த வெளிகளிலிருந்தும்—உன் நண்பர்களாகிய நாங்கள் எவ்விதத் தீங்கும் அடையாதிருக்கட்டும். எங்கள் குழந்தைக்கும் சந்ததிக்கும் சாந்தியும் நலமிகு சுகமும் அருள்வாயாக.
