Sukta 4.1
ते मन्वत प्रथमं नाम धेनोस्त्रिः सप्त मातुः परमाणि विन्दन् । तज्जानतीरभ्यनूषत व्रा आविर्भुवदरुणीर्यशसा गोः ॥
té manvata prathamáṃ nā́ma dhenós tríḥ saptá mā́tuḥ paramā́ṇi vindan | táj jānatī́r abhy ànūṣata vrā́ āvír bhuvad aruṇī́r yaśásā góḥ ||
அவர்கள் போஷகமான பசுவின் முதல் நாமத்தை உணர்ந்தனர்; மேலும் தாயின் உன்னத அளவுகள்—மூன்று முறை ஏழு—என்று கண்டடைந்தனர். அதை அறிந்த சக்திகள் அதைப் புகழ்ந்தன; பசுவின் அருண, ஒளிமிகு கதிர்கள் யசஸுடன் வெளிப்பட்டன.
