Sukta 3.31
अभि जैत्रीरसचन्त स्पृधानं महि ज्योतिस्तमसो निरजानन् । तं जानतीः प्रत्युदायन्नुषासः पतिर्गवामभवदेक इन्द्रः ॥
abhí jaitrī́r asacanta spṛdhānáṃ máhi jyótiḥ támaso nír ajānan | táṃ jānatī́ḥ práty udā́yann uṣā́sāḥ pátir gávām abhavad éka índraḥ ||
வெற்றியளிக்கும் சக்திகள் எதிர்ப்போட்டியாளனைச் சூழ்ந்து அழுத்தின; இருளிலிருந்து மகா-ஜ்யோதியை வெளிக்கொணர்ந்தன. அவரை அறிந்து உஷாங்கள் அவரை எதிர்கொண்டு எழுந்தன; இந்திரன் ஒருவனே கோ-ரச்மிகள் (கதிர்கள்) உடைய ஆண்டவனானான்.
