Sukta 3.31
मिहः पावकाः प्रतता अभूवन्त्स्वस्ति नः पिपृहि पारमासाम् । इन्द्र त्वं रथिरः पाहि नो रिषो मक्षूमक्षू कृणुहि गोजितो नः ॥
míhaḥ pāvakā́ḥ prátatā abhūvan svastí naḥ pipṛhi pā́ram āsā́m | índra tvaṃ rathiráḥ pāhi no riṣó mákṣūmakṣū kṛṇuhi gojító naḥ ||
தூய்மையாக்கும் மழைகள் பரவி நிற்கின்றன; இவ்வோட்டங்களின் அப்புறத் துறைக்கு எங்களை ஸ்வஸ்தியுடன் கொண்டு செல். ஓ இந்திரா, ரத-வலிமை உடையவனே, எங்களை தீங்கில் இருந்து காப்பாய்; விரைவாக, மீண்டும் மீண்டும், எங்களை கோ-ஜித்—ஒளிக்கதிர்களின் வெற்றியாளர்—ஆக்குவாய்.
