Sukta 3.18
इध्मेनाग्न इच्छमानो घृतेन जुहोमि हव्यं तरसे बलाय । यावदीशे ब्रह्मणा वन्दमान इमां धियं शतसेयाय देवीम् ॥
idhménāgna icchámāno ghṛténa juhómi havyaṃ tárase bálāya | yā́vad ī́śe bráhmaṇā vándamāna imā́ṃ dhíyaṃ śatáseyāya devī́m ||
அக்னியே! இध்ம—எரிபொருள்—உடன், மேலும் க்ஹ்ருத—நெய்—உடன் நாடி, வலத்திற்கும் சக்திக்குமான ஹவ்யத்தை நான் ஜுஹோமி—அர்ப்பணிக்கிறேன். நான் இயன்ற அளவு, ப்ரஹ்ம—வேதவாக்கு—ஆல் வணங்கி, ஶதஸேய—நூறுமடங்கு வெற்றியும் ஆளுமையும்—பெற இந்த தேவீ திய்—தெய்வீக சிந்தனை-சக்தியை—முன்னேற்றுகிறேன்.
