Sukta 2.28
नमः पुरा ते वरुणोत नूनमुतापरं तुविजात ब्रवाम । त्वे हि कं पर्वते न श्रितान्यप्रच्युतानि दूळभ व्रतानि ॥
námaḥ purā́ te varuṇóta nū́nám utā́paraṃ tuvi-jāta bravāma | tvé hí kaṃ párvate ná śritā́ny ápra-cyutāni dūḷábha vratā́ni ||
வருணனே! பழங்காலத்திலும் இப்போதும், இனியும்—மிகப் பெருமையாகப் பிறந்தவனே—உனக்கு நமஸ்காரம் உரைக்கிறேன். ஏனெனில் மலைமேல் அசையாத அடித்தளங்கள் நிலைப்பதுபோல், உன்னுள், ஹே துளப (தாண்ட இயலாதவனே), அசையாதவும் உறுதியானவும் ஆன வ்ரதங்கள் (த-நியமங்கள்) நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன.
